Summer Holiday Programme

Pinewoods has a entertainment committee which provides continuos fun and enjoyment over the Christmas Holiday.

These include Movies on the Green, a Talent quest, Miss Pinewoods contest, Fancy Dress competition, Fishing Contest, Golf Tournament, Sand Castle Competition, Market Day, Camp Run, Book Exchange, New Years Party and BBQ.

Attractions in the area

• North Harbour stadium is a fifteen minute drive away.
• To the North, the Wenderholm Regional Park is a favourite picnic spot.
• Snowplanet, Auckland Luge and Waiwera Hot Pools are all only a small drive away.

Beaches

Pinewoods is located between Orewa and Red beaches on the Hibiscus Coast.

Direct off road access to Red Beach and it's Surf Patrol provide safe swimming, and our own private beach "Jacobs Ladder" is accessible only from the camp where many a happy hour can be spent making sand castles, exploring rock pools and surf casting.

RED BEACH
Located between the Whangaparaoa and Pinewoods, Red Beach is a popular beach for campers because of easy access and it's Surf Beach Patrol. During the summer, the Surf Club hosts an International Surf Carnival.

OREWA BEACH
Pinewoods overlooks Orewa which is one of North Auckland's most popular Beaches, with Cafes, Resturants and Specialty Shops.

JACOBS LADDER
Our own private beach is particularly suitable for family groups and is accessable from Pinewoods via "Jacobs Ladder".
