Very friendly staff and close to the beach. We stayed two nights in a campervan. Playground and trampolines are great, kitchen, laundry and showers are very clean. It is only a short walk to Red Beach. Staff are very friendly and helpful at all times and offered a lot of tour recommendations.

Stayed here for the transition between selling our home in North Shore to head to Dunedin. This is an amazingly unique lil village of campers both short and long term. Very friendly staff and fabulously clean amenities. A place where you feel safe as it is well monitored and behind closed in gates. Makes it extremely safe for the kids. the location can't be beaten, with views and Red Beach within walking distance. The best thing was the free showers and the fantastic friendly locals. I will see you next time I'm back campers.

Perfect Beachside retreat. This long established seaside, cliff top camping/batch area continues to deliver a great experience for those seeking a simpler, relaxed beach break. Now enclosed by the neighbourhood around them of Red Beach, this camp ground delivers on the promise of seaside simplicity. The majority of visitors are returning year after year. Red Beach Surf Club is next door & another great local asset. The beach is good for all ages.

Very relaxing We had been travelling for a couple of weeks in a camper an and wanted somewhere to chill out for a few days before returning to Australia and we came across Pinewoods and what a find it was. Very relaxing exceptionally clean park and managers and all staff were very friendly and welcoming. Have got this park on the Itinerary for our next visit to New Zealand and would most definitely recommend to anyone. Thanks for the great stay we ended up staying for seven nights instead of three.
